Scope of Activities
The Radio Frequency and Broadcasting Monitoring Center under the Radio Frequency Regulation and Monitoring Department of the Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC) of Mongolia has been accredited as a technical inspection body in compliance with the requirements of the international standard MNS ISO/IEC 17020:2013.
The Center is mandated to carry out the following monitoring and inspection functions:
- Conduct spectrum occupancy measurements to determine use of radio frequency bands;
- Identify causes of adjacent channel interference, out-of-band emissions, and intermodulation distortion;
- Measure field strength levels in specific geographic locations;
- Detect unauthorized frequency usage and identify unlicensed transmitting stations;
- Monitor and verify technical parameters of all types of transmitters;
- Investigate and resolve cases of harmful interference;
- Assess and confirm channel occupancy and bandwidth utilization;
- Identify unlicensed users and differentiate them from authorized license holders;
- Evaluate deviations from licensed technical parameters and operational limits.
