Facebook “Government Case Work Channel” – Through a series of meetings between the Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC) of Mongolia and Facebook, both parties agreed on the necessity of cooperating to establish a safe and ethical social media environment in Mongolia. As part of this collaboration, Facebook is working with the CRC to remove fake accounts and restrict unlawful content on its platform. This cooperation has resulted in expedited handling of complaints related to illegal content and the implementation of necessary regulatory actions.
The “Government Case Work Channel” functions exclusively to facilitate the removal of unlawful content from the Facebook platform—specifically content that violates Facebook’s Community Standards. Accordingly, the CRC does not process or resolve the following types of requests related to Facebook accounts or pages:
• Requests to recover passwords or other account access-related issues;
• Issues related to boosting or sharing of Facebook accounts or pages;
• Payment and billing inquiries concerning Facebook accounts or advertising services;
• Requests related to account or page verification for individual users;
• Requests to close or manage accounts of deceased users;
• Requests for user registration data or other personal information.
Additionally, the CRC collaborates with the YouTube platform under its Trusted Partner Program to identify and report illegal content for appropriate action in accordance with YouTube’s content governance policies.
